Hello, I'm trying to create a batch that regularily creates baseline sets, and adding all relevant module baselines to it. While the code is working completely perfect when started from the DOORS client, it crashes heavily (!) when started as batch. The crash seems to be caused by this statement:
strError = addBaselines(skpWorkers, bsCurrent);
When putting a debugging statement in front of it, it will be displayed, the debugging statement after that command will not be displayed anymore. Is it possible that this statement is simply not working in batch mode? Or are there any undocumented side effects to be considered? As it works without any problems in dialog mode, any data-based problems can be excluded.

Re: Baseline Sets + Batch = not working? Hi Gerhard The Doors-Dxl-Tool Exchange (sold by IBM) does not work in Batch mode properly, i.E. it is actually impossible to start it. Years ago, I've had contact to the IBM-Hotline and they told me, that this is a problem, because Exchange performs some Dxl-Commands which cannot be performed in the batch mode. I do not know the commands itself, but baselining may be one of or perhaps "the" command which does not work in batch mode. Actually we have solved this problem by using a terminal server. The export- an import-script will be started manually and then the user minimizes the screen and continues his work on his PC. So the script itself does not block a normal user pc for 1/2 hour or something more. Best regards Wolfgang |

Actually, I've been afraid of such an answer, but while knowing DOORS since 1998, it does not really surprise me... Best regards, Hardy |
